It was almost dead

Traffic, horns, and all other sounds
Suddenly became audible
Trees, lamps, sidewalk,
trash bin, signals, rushing cars
Suddenly became visible

Everyone else had their head down
Wrestling with their phone
I was the invisible one
In the big crowd, still very alone

Brain went on a strike
Just an uncomfortable silence
Own thoughts were very empty
Nothing made any sense

Send me back in my matrix
Real world is no fun
I need no red pill
I am definitely not 'the one'
